Manuscript Editing for Anarchist Studies Journal Articles
Anarchist Studies is “an international peer-reviewed inter- and multi-disciplinary journal of anarchism research,” covering the history, culture, theory, and practice of anarchism. It welcomes independent scholars working outside the academy alongside academic researchers. Its co-editors are in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at Loughborough University. Lawrence & Wishart publishes it twice a year, and the journal moves to Sage from January 2027.
Papers run about 8,000 words, with a maximum of 10,000 including all references. References may be in-text author-date with page, as in (Bookchin 1989: 263), or numbered endnotes, and Latin notation such as op. cit. is not used. A summary of 100 to 150 words goes with three or four keywords. To keep review anonymous, papers avoid referring to the author's own published work, and author details go in a separate document. Papers are written in UK English. Off the Grid Editing keeps one reference system consistent from start to finish. You email the paper as a Word attachment.
Our Promise
We will ensure that the final draft you receive is completely ready to submit to Anarchist Studies. We work with you until it is ready or refund your payment in full. That commitment has held since 2002.
Our editors do not have access to your manuscript until an order is placed. Your draft is secure until you decide to proceed.
Manuscript Editing and Proofreading for Anarchist Studies
We offer three levels of manuscript editing depending on what your manuscript needs. Each is described below so you can choose the service that fits where your draft is right now.
Grammar and usage, awkward phrasing, repetition, and passive voice corrected, then clarity, concision, sentence structure, transitions, and tone, with your style manual applied throughout and a final proofread. For authors whose argument and structure are settled.
Clarity, emphasis, and paragraph structure: topic sentences, transitions, and sentences reordered within a paragraph, with every fact and claim kept as you wrote it. Includes copy editing and a final proofread.
Spelling, punctuation, typos, capitalization, grammar, and usage corrected with minimal wording changes, for manuscripts that have been edited and need a last check before submission to Anarchist Studies.
The journal's submission guidelines cover length, references, and anonymity. If you have reviewer comments from an earlier submission, send them with your manuscript and we will address each one. If you have questions about which service is right for your manuscript, contact us directly. We respond to every inquiry the same day during business hours.
See journal article and essay editing for how we edit scholarly articles, and academic proofreading for the last read before submission. We also prepare articles for Historical Materialism and Political Theory.
