Manuscript Editing for International Political Sociology Journal Articles
International Political Sociology brings sociologists, international relations specialists, and sociopolitical theorists together and “strongly encourages transdisciplinary and critical analyses of contemporary global phenomena.” It aims to decenter dominant modes of knowledge production and widen research beyond the usual circuits. Oxford University Press publishes it for the International Studies Association. Its editors-in-chief are at Université Laval and Newcastle University.
Research articles run 8,000 to 10,000 words. Collective Discussions, in which up to six scholars take up a shared problem, run up to 12,000 and begin with a three-page proposal. Citations follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition. Review is double-anonymous, with an anonymized main file and a separate title page. The journal states that it will facilitate submissions in languages other than English, and its Global South Pre-Submission Initiative offers one round of mentor feedback. Off the Grid Editing anonymizes the main file and applies Chicago throughout. Submissions go through ScholarOne.

Manuscript Editing and Proofreading for International Political Sociology
We offer three levels of manuscript editing depending on what your manuscript needs. Each is described below so you can choose the service that fits where your draft is right now.
Grammar and usage, awkward phrasing, repetition, and passive voice corrected, then clarity, concision, sentence structure, transitions, and tone, with your style manual applied throughout and a final proofread. For authors whose argument and structure are settled.
Clarity, emphasis, and paragraph structure: topic sentences, transitions, and sentences reordered within a paragraph, with every fact and claim kept as you wrote it. Includes copy editing and a final proofread.
Spelling, punctuation, typos, capitalization, grammar, and usage corrected with minimal wording changes, for manuscripts that have been edited and need a last check before submission to International Political Sociology.
Oxford's general instructions cover article types and citations. If you have reviewer comments from an earlier submission, send them with your manuscript and we will address each one. If you have questions about which service is right for your manuscript, contact us directly. We respond to every inquiry the same day during business hours.
See journal article and essay editing for how we edit scholarly articles, and academic proofreading for the last read before submission. If English is your second language, see English language editing for researchers. We also prepare articles for Review of International Studies and Theory, Culture & Society.
