Manuscript Editing for Mindfulness Journal Articles
Mindfulness “seeks to advance research, clinical practice, and theory on mindfulness,” drawing on psychology, psychiatry, medicine, neurobiology, philosophy, and wisdom traditions. Springer publishes it monthly, and its editor-in-chief is at the University of Waikato. Since 2010 it has published work on the assessment, mechanisms, and clinical uses of mindfulness and on its practice across cultures.
Accepted papers run up to 45 double-spaced pages, references, tables, and figures included. Citations use Springer's author-year style, with APA 7th edition guiding the author lists, and footnotes are not used. The abstract is structured under Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, runs up to 250 words, and reports effect sizes with confidence intervals or significance levels. Clinical trials give their registration number on the last line of the abstract. You suggest four to six reviewers, at least two of them at US institutions. Review is double-anonymous. Off the Grid Editing checks that the abstract reports the statistics the journal asks for. Submissions go through Springer Nature's submission system.
Our Promise
We will ensure that the final draft you receive is completely ready to submit to Mindfulness. We work with you until it is ready or refund your payment in full. That commitment has held since 2002.
Our editors do not have access to your manuscript until an order is placed. Your draft is secure until you decide to proceed.
Manuscript Editing and Proofreading for Mindfulness
We offer three levels of manuscript editing depending on what your manuscript needs. Each is described below so you can choose the service that fits where your draft is right now.
Grammar and usage, awkward phrasing, repetition, and passive voice corrected, then clarity, concision, sentence structure, transitions, and tone, with your style manual applied throughout and a final proofread. For authors whose argument and structure are settled.
Clarity, emphasis, and paragraph structure: topic sentences, transitions, and sentences reordered within a paragraph, with every fact and claim kept as you wrote it. Includes copy editing and a final proofread.
Spelling, punctuation, typos, capitalization, grammar, and usage corrected with minimal wording changes, for manuscripts that have been edited and need a last check before submission to Mindfulness.
Springer's submission guidelines cover the abstract, references, and trial registration. If you have reviewer comments from an earlier submission, send them with your manuscript and we will address each one. If you have questions about which service is right for your manuscript, contact us directly. We respond to every inquiry the same day during business hours.
See journal article and essay editing for how we edit research articles, and academic proofreading for the last read before submission. If English is your second language, see English language editing for researchers. For books, see Springer Nature manuscript editing.
