Manuscript Editing for Radical History Review Journal Articles

Order Manuscript Editing Radical History Review brings historical scholarship together with active political engagement. Its thematic issues, edited by a collective, cover gender, race, sexuality, imperialism, and class across Western and non-Western histories, with sections on public history and teaching. Duke University Press publishes it three times a year for MARHO: The Radical Historians' Organization.

The journal considers articles only when they fit a planned theme issue or posted call. You first submit a one- to two-page abstract as a proposal, and selected authors are invited to send a full article of no more than 35 to 40 pages. The journal's style sheet, based on the Chicago Manual of Style, 18th edition, calls for notes with a reference list of works cited, and acknowledgments go in an unnumbered first note. Substantial articles carry an abstract of about 200 words in the third person, with three to five lowercase keywords. Off the Grid Editing tightens the proposal to two pages and builds the reference list from your notes. Proposals and articles go through ScholarOne.
