Manuscript Editing for Social Anthropology/Anthropologie Sociale Journal Articles
Social Anthropology/Anthropologie Sociale is the journal of the European Association of Social Anthropologists, European in profile with a global scope. Founded in 1993, it publishes work by established and emerging anthropologists, including fieldwork-based research. Berghahn Journals publishes it quarterly, fully open access, in English and French.
Articles run up to 7,000 words, references and notes included, rising to 8,000 after the first round of revisions, with each figure or table counting as 250 words. Citations follow the journal's own author-date style, such as (Bayly 1993: 208), with endnotes and a reference list at the very end. Spelling is UK English, Oxford -ise, with single quotation marks. The abstract runs 125 words, with five to eight keywords in alphabetical order. Review is double-blind. Off the Grid Editing applies the house style and UK spelling. Submissions go through the journal's Open Journal Systems site.

Manuscript Editing and Proofreading for Social Anthropology/Anthropologie Sociale
We offer three levels of manuscript editing depending on what your manuscript needs. Each is described below so you can choose the service that fits where your draft is right now.
Grammar and usage, awkward phrasing, repetition, and passive voice corrected, then clarity, concision, sentence structure, transitions, and tone, with your style manual applied throughout and a final proofread. For authors whose argument and structure are settled.
Clarity, emphasis, and paragraph structure: topic sentences, transitions, and sentences reordered within a paragraph, with every fact and claim kept as you wrote it. Includes copy editing and a final proofread.
Spelling, punctuation, typos, capitalization, grammar, and usage corrected with minimal wording changes, for manuscripts that have been edited and need a last check before submission to Social Anthropology/Anthropologie Sociale.
EASA's notes for contributors cover length, citations, and spelling. If you have reviewer comments from an earlier submission, send them with your manuscript and we will address each one. If you have questions about which service is right for your manuscript, contact us directly. We respond to every inquiry the same day during business hours.
See journal article and essay editing for how we edit scholarly articles, and academic proofreading for the last read before submission. If English is your second language, see English language editing for researchers. We also prepare articles for Anthropological Theory and Ethnography.
