Manuscript Editing for Annals of the American Association of Geographers Journal Articles
Founded in 1911, the Annals of the American Association of Geographers is the flagship journal of the American Association of Geographers. It publishes work that advances geographic knowledge in every part of the discipline, in sections for methods, human geography, nature and society, and physical geography. Taylor & Francis publishes it ten times a year, with one special issue on a single theme.
Articles run no more than 11,000 words, counting the abstract, references, notes, tables, and figure captions. Citations are author-date, following the Taylor & Francis US Chicago guide as directed by the Annals style sheet, and discursive endnotes are discouraged. Three to five keywords, alphabetized and italicized, close the abstract. House style calls for serial commas, double quotation marks, dates such as 25 November 2000, and every acronym spelled out at first use. Author details are left out of the version sent for review. Off the Grid Editing applies the style sheet and trims to the word limit. Submissions go through ScholarOne.
