Manuscript Editing for Buddhist-Christian Studies Journal Articles
Buddhist-Christian Studies is the journal of the Society for Buddhist-Christian Studies, published once a year by the University of Hawaiʻi Press. It covers Buddhism and Christianity and their historical and contemporary interrelationships, and it welcomes authors of any religious background or none. Conference reports, book reviews, and news run alongside the articles.
The editors choose work for its significance to interreligious understanding. Notes are endnotes in Chicago style, with page numbers given without p. or pp. Diacritics go in a Unicode font, and Chinese is romanized in pinyin. With your submission email you send an abstract of up to 350 words and at least three keywords. Off the Grid Editing makes transliteration consistent across every source language in the article. Manuscripts go to the editors by email in both RTF and PDF.

Manuscript Editing and Proofreading for Buddhist-Christian Studies
We offer three levels of manuscript editing depending on what your manuscript needs. Each is described below so you can choose the service that fits where your draft is right now.
Grammar and usage, awkward phrasing, repetition, and passive voice corrected, then clarity, concision, sentence structure, transitions, and tone, with your style manual applied throughout and a final proofread. For authors whose argument and structure are settled.
Clarity, emphasis, and paragraph structure: topic sentences, transitions, and sentences reordered within a paragraph, with every fact and claim kept as you wrote it. Includes copy editing and a final proofread.
Spelling, punctuation, typos, capitalization, grammar, and usage corrected with minimal wording changes, for manuscripts that have been edited and need a last check before submission to Buddhist-Christian Studies.
The University of Hawaiʻi Press journal page includes the author guidelines. If you have reviewer comments from an earlier submission, send them with your manuscript and we will address each one.
