Manuscript Editing for Security Dialogue Journal Articles
Security Dialogue “seeks to combine contemporary theoretical analysis with challenges to public policy” across security studies, recasting the concept of security through new approaches and methods. It is edited at the Peace Research Institute Oslo. Since January 2026, Oxford University Press has published it every two months.
Research articles run 8,000 to 10,000 words, abstract, notes, and references included. References follow the APA Publication Manual, 7th edition, author-date, and notes are used only for substantive information; cited interviews are listed separately after the bibliography. The abstract runs 150 to 200 words, followed by five or six keywords. The journal's basic criterion is clarity of expression, and manuscripts needing heavy editing may be returned. Spelling may be UK or US if consistent. Review is double-anonymized. Off the Grid Editing edits for that clarity and keeps the spelling consistent throughout. Submissions go through ScholarOne.

Spelling, punctuation, typos, capitalization, grammar, and usage corrected with minimal wording changes, for manuscripts that have been edited and need a last check before submission to Security Dialogue.
